When Seriously Doughnuts exclusively announced at 10:00am on the 10th of May that  Fashion Icon and Ex-Beauty Queen, Nike Osinowo's Signature perfume was due to hit the shops, we were super charged and super-excited but less than 3 hours after the post was uploaded, we took it down for information update (our sincere apologies to all who sent in very kind comments especially our dear ZIZI. Unfortunately we lost all comments when we took the post down, please kindly resend your comments) but unbelievably within that small space of time, the image had been copied off Seriously Doughnuts and re-reported at the speed of light across other blogs and everyone was talking about it. (we know because Seriously Doughnuts exclusively had the picture).
To me this simply shows the power and strength of the brand that is NIKE OSINOWO. Love her or Lump her, you can't take away the fact this woman is truly unstoppable and personally I love that in a woman...
Anyhooo, At Seriously Doughnuts, we are proud to have sampled

I managed to bring it safely home after eyes were set on it at work! It's now sitting pretty and safely on my dressing table, but I'm tempted to carry it around with me, it's a 50ml bottle so it'll work for me, you know? not too big. The design is simply chic bearing the words..

SD ON THE TOWN: BANANA ISLAND - THE 'MIAMI' END OF LAGOS....AB FAB!!!

My lovely friend and her hubby just bought a beautiful house in Banana Island, Lagos and they took me on a spin round their new neighbourhood. Ohhh Boy!..if you haven’t been to Banana Island..it’s simply 'Wow'..I hear a plot of land costs up to a billion Naira to start..it’s like a brand new fabulous Lagos..Gated of course in a bit of Miami meets LA type setting..

This place is strictly for the bigz peeps...absolutely beautiful and peaceful..if you thought you’ve seen what money can buy in Nigeria, think again..Banana Island is currently the most expensive area in Lagos these days with property prices so high making it stupendously exclusively reserved for Billionaires...

I kept going ..‘Wow’ and then without warning I got slapped in the face by this monstrous, gigantic construction that was definitely an ‘Adenuga’ project. A double construction with one normalish structure next to a replica of the “BELLA” golden structure in VI. I’m sure it’s only Mike Adenuga would build a golden home...

The Julius Berger construction sign was out there for all to see that this was no small house o! We’re talking some serious gazzilion Naira construction meen..pipelines were being laid ..etc..No mocking about meen, GLO CEO Mike Adenuga means  serious business with his new home that’s for sure.. 

Dang! I love Banana Island.. this is one part of Lagos that would make coming back home to Naija..really worth it. So ‘Diaspora peeps’ start saving for your homecoming...Wanna Banana? You're not alone..heee! hee!

To take your Swagger to a whole new level, you got to do some work on your inner self.  This week’s tips are not for the faint of heart.  Yes, I DARE YOU to give these a try. 

 Beware:  People may start flocking to you as you live these ideas out.

Release burdens that weigh you down.  Surprise family and long-time friends by letting go anger, blame, guilt, regret and age-old grudges.  Do some inner work to prepare yourself for more joy than you have ever known.  Write a list of those who need your forgiveness.  Pray.  Hand over your issues to God one-by-one.  Make room in your heart for more peace and love.    

Emanate inner brightness.  Let your light shine and have fun shining it.  Celebrate your uniqueness and celebrate the uniqueness of others too.  Compliment others and feel the glow of their inner light.  None of us need to dull our shine.  In the words of Marianne Williamson, “And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.”

Be powerfully present.  Engage your senses on a daily basis.  Groove to the music.  Taste the flavorful delights.  Admire the colors and textures of your environment.  Put worry aside and truly enjoy each moment.  To be honest, this moment is the only one you know for sure you have.  It is also a place you have never been.  Don’t miss the magic in it.  Live to your fullest this year.

Establish a complaint-free zone.   Ginger a positive swagger.  Leave all negativity at the door.  If you find yourself wanting to criticize or complain, stop!  Why not enjoy this New Year in full flare with a focus on the good?  See the best in others.  See the best in yourself.  See the best in your circumstances.  Okay, things may not be perfect, but there is always some good to find if you are willing to seek it.  

Your assignment this week is to take a close look at your swagger.  Take time to write your answers down:  What is the basis for your swagger, your confidence?  Is it focused on the outer alone or on the inner as well?  Will the choices you have been making serve you in creating the impression and legacy you desire?  What kind of swagger will you have through the rest of 2011?

Let me challenge you with the words of Kofi Annan, “To live is to choose. But to choose, you must know who you are and what you stand for, where you want to go, and why you want to get there.”

Yay! What I loved most about the shoot? Nike Osinowo-Soleye is truly beautiful, her skin? flawess and best of all I worked with a team of true professionals...we worked about 10 hours straight but still we had a ball..it was a fabulously, fashionably mad day!
