I don't know their names but these ladies made a big impression at the MTN Lagos Fashion Week, where they turned up all covered up but every inch gorgeous..

Nollywood Beau, Rita Dominic hosted the recently concluded Headies Awards(with Eldee) and as expected, she was decked out to the nines. Her gorgeous dresses were designed by Ugonna Omeruo of House of Nwocha, while accessories she wore came from the ToTe Red Carpet Fab Collection...

My favourite look has got to be Rita Dominic in the pretty green dress by House of Nwocha (HON) and  of course, the ToTe statement necklace (*wink, wink!), she also rocks the red dress and chandelier earrings well. On the night, Ugonna's structured pieces came through making Rita the 'Belle of The Red Carpet'. 

So peeps, for when you really need accessories that 'Wow'...ToTe'll fix it...!!

UGONNA OMERUO TO FEATURE IN 'PAKURUMO' MUSIC VIDEO WEARING A TOTE NECKLACE..YAAAAY!

So I get a phone call this morning to deliver some accessories to an address in Parkview for  a shoot, we discuss the requirements briefly. I open my chest of  accessories (I style fashion shoots so I collect and sell fabulous accessories) and pick out a few pieces and off I went. I walk through the gate and I see Comedian, Alibaba, hmmm, I walk past him, I see a few more familiar faces and I begin to wonder what the shoot was really about. I spot Ace music video producer, Clarence Peters, a few questions after I gather I'm actually supplying fashion accessories for the video 'Pakurumo' by Wizkid
My peeps meen, you have to give it to Clarence Peters oh, this guy knows his onions, the set was true to life and the number of gofers, technicians and videographers there was something, not forgetting the super duper equipments - "Meen, no be small thing oh..."
Anyway, I start looking out for Ugonna Omeruo, Designer behind House of Nwocha and a light-skinned bloke (in costume..see picture below) shows me where she is. She likes the accessories I deliver...Yay!
I suddenly feel the urge to get my camera out and snap away but then I realised I left my camera at home....CRUMBS!!! Thankfully my bb camera worked...checkout Ugonna wearing a necklace from the ToTe Red Carpet Collection ...you like?

MTN LAGOS FASHION AND DESIGN 2011 AWARDS 2011 PICTURES: THE WINNERS ARE....

12 Designers – Kate Williams, Bubu Isigo, Mo Alatise, Xenia Ejidike, Binta Shuaibu, Beatrice Black Atari, Oroma Cookey Gam, Akpos Okudu, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Ibitein Thompson, Bola Yinka Obebe and our youngest competitor – 13 yr old Onanma Okeke had been working round the clock to design a 12 piece collection using Vlisco Real Dutch Wax as part of their task for the title – MTN British Council Young Designer of The Year. 

The award show was most certainly the icing on the cake for  young fashion label, Vintage Collette, who won the MTN British Council Fashion Designer of the Year Award, walking away with a brand new Hyundai IX 35 Jeep courtesy MTN, and the opportunity to design a collection for Vlisco Real Dutch Wax sponsors of this category plus a one year contract for the winner to exclusively retail her collection at luxury store Temple Muse in Victoria Island, Lagos.

After the show she posed for Seriously Doughnuts...Congrats girl!

The Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award went to Ayotomi Rotimi, Creative Director, Xlamations! who also won N1million...courtesy of the British Council.

A huge Seriously Doughnuts congratulations to the other contestants as well, we look forward to seeing more of their fantastic designs ...

On the night, passion for fashion certainly paid off for Vintage Collette. look out the collection soon at Temple Muse, VI and hopefully more of Vintage Collette on the Naija fashion scene.
