On the 24th of July 2011,
The Sahara Group Co-founder and MD Tonye Cole launched
THE NEHEMIAH PROJECT - a project very close to his heart
. Like Nehemiah (in the bible) who was known as the nation rebuilder,
Mr Tonye Cole is doggedly on the path to building Nigeria (alongsides other well-meaning individuals) starting from the youth of the nation. The project which is targeted at young adults between the ages of 18-30 aims to empower and inspire Nigerian youths to discover, explore and realize their full potential.
The event was held at the Eko Hotel and Suites and was hosted by
Kate Henshaw-Nuttall and Tee A. In attendance also were youth leaders, celebs and role models with exemplary records of success in their chosen careers, such as
Fashion Designer, Mai Atafo and Lanre Dasilva-Ajayi, Photographer TY Bello, Musician Dbanj, Omowunmi Elizabeth Elohor Aisen of Beth Models, Motivational speaker Fela Durotoye and others who shared and inspired the young attendees with their own unique life stories...
With an aim of rebuilding the lives of the nations youths by promoting their God given talent from zero to hero
The Nehemaih Project certainly stands out for purpose and social responsibility and it boldly stands as a laudable achievement of
Tonye Cole, who also lined up fashion on the runway featuring Kinabuti and fabulous artist performances, featuring Dbanj, MI etc

Hi Bola, I am getting more addicted to your blog. Lovely pics and lovely work. I am a great admirer of Tonye Cole & his heart to help. Now for some unsolicited assistance on the name front
ReplyDeletea) The lady on the left in the first picture next to Fela Durotoye is Toyosi Akerele, CEO of Rise Networks & lady just mentioned by Michele Obama in her speech in SA.
b) Ibidun Ighodalo's older brother's name is Dare Ajayi.
c) In your last picture, its Yewande and Funke. Lady on the left is Yewande Zaccheus, CEO of Eventful Ltd & Owner of Harbour Point event centre.
Keep up the good work & I will always be here to assist you with names.
All I can say is dat I'm impressed, if young men that have been blessed such as Tonye Cole remember the well being of Nigerian youths. This is open heavens.
ReplyDeleteHello, Neat post. There's a problem along with your website in internet explorer, might test this… IE nonetheless is the market leader and a big element of people will pass over your magnificent writing because of this problem.
