The Austrian Lace - Nigerian Fashion show took place on the 14th of May 2011 at the Eko Hotel, Victoria Island in celebration of "The History and future of Austrian Lace in Nigerian Fashion' and as expected, Lagosians made it a fabulous event, dressing up and gracing the occasion in their hundreds. The dress code simply stated: Smart.Lace preferred..Many (including moi) made an effort to go the lace route but many others free-styled the Lagos way going super funky!. The event was so so packed full, I'm almost tempted to say 'everyone was there'. Lagos folk certainly know how to show themselves a good time..From the traditional fashionista title holder, Iya Oge of Lagos, Chief (Dr) Opral Benson to retired Designer, Abba Folawiyo to the ever beautiful former beauty queen, Helen Prest-Ajayi, Nollywood's Genevieve Nnaji and Femi Bernard to Miss Nigeria, Oluwadamilola Agbajor.. it was a super star-studded event that not only celebrated Austrian Lace in Nigerian Fashion but one that truly celebrated our home-grown designers too.
We say 'Bravo' to the organisers - The Austrian Association of Lace Embroiders and the Austrian Embassy Commercial Section Lagos..It was simply fantastic!

i love the site. but pls label your guests names. the two ladies in the pics together wearing black is designer folake folarin coker of tiffany amber and fumi. the woman in the second pic wearing the pink top and skirt is nigeria first stylist bola balogun. the last lady in the the blue pants is socialite eunice efole. love you girl but pls ask your guest for there names.
