Y!NAIJA MAG - TRULY A NIGERIAN DREAM...

It's exciting times to be in the media and publishing industry in Nigeria...Everyone in the industry seems to suddenly get what great magazines are made of...Fashion stylists are emerging, amazing photographers are being discovered and from storyboards, Cover shots , layouts to tear sheets, the industry is birthing great things.
We checked out the smashing new 'Nigerian Dream'  issue of Y! Naija -  a very interesting read that explores the reality of living in Nigeria from 2 sides of the coin - The Nigeria where dreams are made and the Nigeria where dreams die..I'm particularly impressed by the page design and layout (I used to run a magazine *Continental Bride so those sort of things do it for me). It takes whole lot of effort and expertise to produce a great magazine and I think Y! Naija nailed it with this issue...Nigeria is moving leaps and bounds and I'm loving it... checkout some of the inside pages

Absolutely love the layout...
The concept of the shoot is quite interesting..
Cover girl Genevieve Nnaji looks stunning wearing a fro and dress by House of Nwocha

She sure knows how to work the camera too....
If you love Genevieve Nnaji, then you really must grab this issue and read her candid interview with Y! Naija Editor, Chude Jideonwo where she speaks from the heart about her rise from 'everyday girl' to 'everyone's favourite girl'...She even addresses the issue of the 'bond girl role' rumour... Super sizzling!!!
The above featured shoots were photographed by Kelechi Amadi Obi and styled by Maryanne Alabi and Yolanda Okereke with makeup by Ugo for Make me and David for MUD Cosmetics...
Seriously Doughnuts votes Y!Naija as the 'must-buy' of the week..visit their website on www.ynaija.com for a detailed list of stockists or  ask your vendor...it's flaming hot!

As for Genevieve Nnaji....what can I say...??? can a girl be more gorgeous????
