NOLLYWOOD LIGHTS UP THE SKY FOR ONE OF THEIR OWN - THE LATE ACTOR, ASHLEY CHIJOKE NWOSU

Following the death of Veteran Actor and Producer, Mazi Ashley Chijoke Nwosu  aged 57 on the 21 of April 2011 at The Military Hospital, Yaba Lagos from a liver related ailment, a candle light procession and service of songs was held at Ojez Restaurant and Bar, National Stadium, Surulere on the 4th of June 2011 in honour of the man the industry fondly called 'Boy'.
Evidently Mazi Ashley Chijoke Nwosu was much loved and respected as practically all the big names in the Nigerian Movie industry (Nollywood) and the entertainment industry at large turned out to pay their last respect. During a brief speech, Segun Arinze seized the opportunity to call for peace and unity amongst actors.
During his lifetime the late actor acted in well over 100 Nollywood films. His first stint at production was a movie titled 'Shield of Faith', which premiered at the Silverbird Galleria in December 2010. He is survived by his wife and four daughters. He will be buried in his hometown in Abia State on the 11th of June.

  1. We get it o. the pictures are yours. Why ruin them with your logo splattered across the center? There are much better ways to water mark. Had to strain to see most of the faces.

    May he RIP.

  2. @ Anon 3:33 - Thanks for your feedback. Our images pre-watermarked from our reproduction agency. I noticed the watermark issue with this particular post as well but to fix it would take another few days admin-wise so I decided to publish and fix later rather than get the news out stale. Our sincere apologies. I have requested for the logo size to be reduced, we are also working with them to explore other avenues of watermarking. Please bear with us

  4. Its about time they honored and paid Mr Nwosu some respect, and if none of the younger actors to pay their respect, I am glad Genny Came – and I am satisfied – that’s very respectful. Hey Ms Lady - I like your blog - keep up the good work ok. Sisters doing it for ourselves. I will put you on my blogroll.
