On the 1st of September 2011, the UK wedding Industry players, clients, friends, family, associates et al gathered at 116 Pall Mall, London to celebrate bridal couture designer extraordinaire, Yemi Osunkoya at a champagne and canapes reception to mark Kosibah's 20th Anniversary and launch of the new Bienvenue 20 collection and what a party and  half it was...
London's Best, Seyi Olusanya of Cedar Events was commissioned as the event organiser and she did a brilliant job and to the amazement of many the fashion show was styled and choreographed by Yemi's Couture colleague, Adebayo Jones of Adebayo Jones Couture..The new collection was inspired by the ballet and each dress was named after a ballerina or relating to ballet. On the night there was a special performance by a ballerina dancer to Tchaikovsky's 'The Dying Swan' and during the fashion show, an Opera singer  sang live as models walked the runway. Yemi's mother, who the label 'Kosibah' was named  after, was politely asked to stand  by Yemi during his speech acknowledging her influence and impact on his success to date..It was certainly a proud 'Mother' moment for her..

Every 'i' was dotted and every 't' was crossed with every activity planned with precision (a trait Event planner, Seyi Olusanya is known for) and thankfully Claire Graham Photography (intro pictures) and  Funmi Omotade-Tan of FO Photography (Reportage images) were on hand  and captured the fabulous moments on the day London celebrated  Yemi Osunkoya of Kosibah on it's 20th Anniversary...

A huge congratulations to all the sponsors...and of course Yemi Osunkoya
Yemi's gorgeous gowns use his legendary signature corsetry design that flatters the female form no matter the size or shape of the wearer, making the wearer look even more fabulous on her big day! I  have personally loved and followed Yemi's work  since 1991 (when I published a wedding magazine- Continental Bride of which Yemi's works were a regular feature ) and to date Yemi continues to earn his place unrivalled at the helm of bridal design...

The event in one word? AWESOME!!!!
20 years is certainly a testament to the focus, tenacity, resilience and sheer talent  of the man behind the Kosibah brand. Please join me ladies and gentlemen in wishing Yemi Osunkoya and Kosibah creations many more years of beautiful creations.. Long live Kosibah!

Many congratulations from all of us at Seriously Doughnuts..!!!
