2011 Miss Nigeria Competition: The Story So Far.....

Since its inception in 1957, the Miss Nigeria Competition has stood to represent the highest of ideals expected of a Nigerian Woman. It aims to be more than just another beauty contest that only celebrates physical beauty.So additionally, it celebrates the positive attributes of the Nigerian Woman - Her elegance, poise, talent and intelligence. 

On November the 5th the 2011 Miss Nigeria Competition commenced production of the second season of its world class Reality Show 'Crowning of the Queen' in the Host State of Akwa Ibom, the 'Land of Promise'


37 contestants from all over Nigeria will be seen competing against one another before our very eyes as they are trained and groomed in preparation for their future role as 'Queen Ambassador' 


The reality show will see 17 contestants eliminated leaving just 20 Contestants to compete at the Grand Finale to be held in Lagos at the Expo Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites - November 18, 2011, where only one contestant will be crowned 'Queen Ambassador' 2011 Miss Nigeria.
With no swimwear segment and a chance to win a full ride scholarship to any institution of Higher Learning in the world, the 2011 Miss Nigeria Crown will no doubt be coveted by all contestants. Sponsors of the competition include; First Bank PLC, Arik Air and Vlisco, Nigeria
