EXCLUSIVE PICTURES: Mercy Ozioma Johnson and Prince Odianosen Henry Okojie's Wedding and all the DRAMA......

Against all odds, Actress, Mercy Johnson defied what many assumed to be the 'prevalence of common sense' to call off her wedding to Prince Odi after it unfolded that her beau was very much legally married with two kids to a lady called 'Lovely'...
It all sounded like a Nollywood movie script but this is no joke..Lovely, (the first wife) tried all she could to derail the wedding plans producing marriage certificates, pictures of her and Prince Odi etc but Mercy would have non of it...forging ahead and marrying Prince Odi at Christ Embassy Church , Kudirat Abiola Way, Ikeja on Saturday the 27th of August 2011 and as a result, security was supertight..
Journalists and cameras were banned but Seriously Doughnuts got in, we have our ways you see..*wink! wink!, it was mayhem (not that the bride and groom noticed) but Yes, Mercy and Odi are now man and wife but not without even more drama as a strange woman turned up outside the wedding reception venue raining abuses and curses on the couple and guests as they arrived and as if that wasn't enough, shortly after the woman was sent on her way by security officials, a 7up drinks lorry crashed crates of soft drinks just at the gate of the reception venue, 10 Degrees Event Centre, Oregun, Ikeja.  Then the venue gates fell under the stress of the crowd...All sounding too jinxed for you...??? but still NO JUPITER could stop Mercy and Odi from tying the knot...
SD EYE was there to capture it all from the engagement to the wedding but first all the DRAMA!!!

THE DRAMA...

  10. Sorry but this event doesn't look well organized to me and why are most of the ladies dressed liked masquerades. For the bridesmaids, those dresses and hair are a no no.

  13. Whr do I start??

SD, now more than ever I am convinced you really know your onions. Your depiction of the drama was rib-cracking.

Mercy johnson, voluptious naija diva. She can wear a sack and still look hott. Plenty congrats and wish you marital bliss but you are a real village girl. What's with the ridiculous cake, like they made the 1st part and you decided it wasn't high enough and asked a different baker to add more tiers. And then the yellow and purple ribbons??? Oh no!

I personally will not subscribe to having a chief bride's maid who is prettier than you(the ghanian girl) but hey, if it works for you, all well and good.

Why are you waving your blackberry around like you're bored at your own wedding, whoever is contacting you should've been there in the first place.

Please why does genevieve have d local muli-coloured nail polish??? Genny you have outgrown some things o, the dress looks high fashion and expensive but the skirt is too tight nauuuu, when did your ass start coming out again? Too much money maybe.

Best dressed hands down is stephanie okereke. She looks divine.

Muma gee, for a wedding of this magnitude one would expect you to get a new weave, and not one you've been using for 5 years, or at least add more lines so your hair doesn't end up looking like a rat soaked in hot water
Dear bridesmaids, you do have a huge say in what you are to wear. If the dress is tacky and down right ugly, you can pick out other dresses in the same colour scheme and theme of the wedding. the purple and yellow colour is hurting my eyes. Disgusting. Its probably the best I've seen empress tho, thank goodness she has ditched the blonde locks. Talking about blonde, the aunty in purple shoes and yellow purse(both gorg), whyyyyyy???(In helen paul's voice)

Iyabo ojo looks normal and nice, wonder when she'll get tired of the boob tattoo. Even toyin lawani covers up these days.

That KC presh boy is just too cute. WTF

The sister in tine turner hair and diana ross/patti labelle/aretha franklin dress, oh nooooo. The only thing fashionable on you is the bare back.

Lastly, the kiss! Both clearly looking away from each other. That's not a good sign AT ALL but to each his own.

Rating: 6/10. Too much chaos, tacky bridesmaids dresses, horrible colour scheme and decor, horrendous cake, no evidence of passion, you only get points for attendance. I'm happy nollywood identified with you on a grande scale.

I hope there is no bigamy here sha!

Aunty Lola Alao, stay off amala, pounded yam, and fast food.
The lady in orange dress standing next to a man in suit, HOT MESS MAMA.
The lady with long trail with chaka chan hairstyle, sorry bubu the look ain't working for ya, hair HOT HOTTA MESS, the dress style hot mess...next time pick a decent style, less is better sweetheart.

Now on to the blond lacefront carpet ..ooops wigs. Ogini kwa nu? is it that serious? yeah i echo Uduak's sentiments that they have the worst dressed guessts. kilode? it's almost like there is a consipiracy to sabotage MJ's photos ..otherwise i can't fathom why these guests are so thrashily dressed.

Happy married life Prince Odi and Princess MJ

  19. Wow. First site i'm seeing so many pictures on so really big kudos to you. You guys know your onions.

I don't like commenting much on dressing and all that but I have to with this.

First of all, that 'strange' woman looks like one angry woman. Why now? Does she know Lovely or maybe she's been in Lovely's position before? Why did she pour her clothes on the floor? *strange things*

Gene looked nice; Stephanie too...most other people, I cant really say they did.

Those bridesmaid dresses were just not it at all. Colour: bleh, Style: bleh.

The cake would have been just fine with the layered ones on top. Too much going on with it that it just looked classless.

As for that their kiss, it's similar to the one in the picture Lovely sent of herself and Prince. Why did they look away?

Anyway, after all said and done, I wish her a happy married life.

To others, no need to judge again. let God do all that.

Kudos to you guys. You did a good job

All the best to the married couple.

  23. As in seriously?!! Bola, u did a fab job! Really impressed....But all this drama and the woman cursing....Mercy has to become a prayer warrior o!!Marriage on its own "na work" and to have all this drama thrown in...hmmmmmmm....Nice that Nollywood peeps turned up to support her.

  24. You guys did a fantastic coverage of the wedding, well done!! As for the organization and dressing of guests nothing much to say except for few outstanding looking guests that I like.

Stephanie Okereke-stood out of the crowd, Iyabo Ojo-simple and nice, Mama G looks good, Genevieve-nice clothes there, Emeka Ike-not bad looking, Majid Micheal looks okay, a plump guest on a purple knee length skirt with plain purple chiffon to complement her blouse and sandals to match- she looks really nice, Lola Alao looks okay, Segun Arinze-like ur pink shirt and Angela Okorie looks good in pregnancy.

Bride looks stunning in her beautiful gown with radiant smiles to crown it all, groom looks okay, the kissing pix is out of it looks more of make believe than real, don't really like the cake kinda too massive and not attractive, overall the wedding looks well attended wishing the couple the best they ever wished themselves, congrats!!

  25. Most came to see how the event will turn out with all the controversy. Well, Mercy remember to renew the charm because the end will be too bitter for you to handle.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Nice pics... Wishing them all the best, even though they are not legally married.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I love your blog so much. Since I discovered it about two months ago, I haven't stopped coming back. U def dish out the best in Naija entertainment.

Moving on to the wedding, I haven't seen such colourful tackiness in a long while. I felt like I was looking at pics from an aladdin/masquerade custume party. The guests looked awful 'cept for few classy ladies like Stephanie Okereke, Genevieve and most of the male guests. The groom looked like smthg straight out of d Aladdin movie minus the lamp.

The bride...the bridemaids...hmmmmm where shd I start? Horrible outfits. They looked like the rejected black barbies that never made it to the barbie store.Waje and Goldie made it work tho. The Peruvian lacefront wigs glued to the eyebrows were just a NO NO NO.

I'm sorry, Mercy Johnson looked horrible on the supposedly best day of her life. I don't know if I was more distracted by her lacefront wig or her wedding dress. And is it me or has Mercy J bleached her skin? This was just a Mercy situation. But I wish them all the best.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Just wondering- was the dress code "look like a clown and for the ladies, ensure you have a hideous lace wig on?". Most of the ladies looked horrible. The only person who looked nice IMO was Stephanie Okereke.

This Lace wig doesn't suit a lot of people. Why don't they get it? Eeeew! The pictures give me the creeps!

  29. Two words SD "SICK COVERAGE" Good job number 5!

    ReplyDelete
  30. The mad woman look like she ws just arranged to perform that drama. Why is she not completely naked or half naked if she was really mad. She had time to wear her canvass n cover her whole body. Arrangee. lol.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The wedding guests have very bad make-up, are poorly dressed and have bad skin. Gee! Is there something in the water?

    ReplyDelete
  32. This is my first time of visiting this site and I am really impressed. This shows core professionalism at its best.

    Guys, keep it up.

    Cheers/The Don

  33. always looking forward to wedding pictures esp from Nigeria - the vibrant colours, creative style and deco...however utterly dissappointed - looks so distasteful, tacky and the guest - *lips sealed*! especially if they are so called 'celebrities' in Nigeria -

and for the couple - all i can say is Goodluck and praying that you will live a happy life regardless....

    ReplyDelete
  34. Oh my stars! tackiness galore!!!!! MEhn and people complained about ini edo's wedding. This was 10 times worse. Shoot! as a bridesmaide ife i had seen those dresses i would have said Hell Nah. Thanks but no thanks i'll be cheering for you from the audience LMAO.

    ReplyDelete
  35. No offense to the couple, best the WORST DRESSED WEDDING!!!!! It was suppose to be a star studded wedding but it just screamed CHEAP. I wish the couple all the best but for all the drama that preceded this wedding, this was DISAPPOINTING.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Couldn't u just post d pics without all d bad belle initial coverage. Ur biased reporting is sickening. Whether u like it all not, they r married. Haters should keep hating! Congrats MJ! Ur day was beautiful.

  37. I'M SORRY THIS HAS GOT TO BE A WIND UP NOW, HABA!!! I HAVE SEEN MANY PIX OF PAST EVENTS OF ALL THESE GUEST APPEARING BEAUTIFULLY DRESSED, I HAVE TO ADMIT THIS DEF LOOKED LIKE A CONSPIRACY EITHER THEY PLANNED TO LOOK CRAP TO SPOIL THE LOOK OF THE WEDDING OR THEY JUST COULD NOT BE ASSED. I WOULD RATHER THEY DIDN'T ATTEND THAN TO COME DRESSED THE WAY HALF OF THEM WERE. THEN THE CAKE O.M.G CLASSLESS OR WHAT IN FACT NO WORDS CAN DESCRIBE THEY SHOULD HAVE SEPERATED THEM SO IT LOOKED LIKE SHE HAD TO SETS OF CAKES RATHER THAN PILE THEM ON EACH OTHER IT LOOKED ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC....... IN SHORT I'M GONNA STOP NOW COS THE DAY HAS GONE NOW AND NOTHING CAN BRING IT BACK FOR CHANGE..... LOL. MUST SAY THOUGH IF SHE WAS AFTER ATTENTION FOR HER WEDDING DAY SHE SURE GOT IT CERTAINLY WON'T BE FORGOTTEN IN A HURRY BUT NOT FOR WHAT SHE OBVIOUSLY THOUGHT.

N.B.... BOLANLE PLEASE OFFER YOUR SERVICES AS OBVIOUSLY NOT EVERYONE IS CLASS AND TASTE SAVVY!!!

  41. Mercy Johnson's lace wig is so terrible. Why can't we just get it into our heads that we don't have Oyinbo hair and wear decent weaves. I don't understand why a woman will choose to look ugliest on her wedding day.

The guests are so horribly dressed, was it a carnival for ugly cloths and terrible make up? Damn! Who's that over-bleached tart of a girl in the extra tight purple dress, ugly shoes and yellow handbag? Is she the clown of the day?

As for Mercy and Lovely's husband, I wish them all the best. I hope they able to dance to the music they've made together forever.

  45. I must admit I have never seen a bigger tacky ceremony like this even in my life. The dressing, the background of the pictures taken. (drainage, bowls, drums, empty cartoon and all sorts of rubbish ben shown)

Even Jim Iyke was dressed like a 1960's magician..with all his oversabi fashion noise that he makes..all over the place. Then the couple dressing is so so so tacky......

The cake looks so horrible and too busy as well. I'd give this wedding a 2 out of 10.....

Where is d money she's bn making noise that she spent. Money does not equate to quality...

    ReplyDelete
  46. The photographer, the clothes designers, and all vendors should be FIRED. For her status, I would have expected a far better wedding.
