WEDDING STYLE THE BASKETMOUTH WAY....

I love, love weddings...There’s just something about them that still makes me go ooohhh! With my job, I get to see and attend lots of weddings but unfortunately I don’t always get that ‘ooohh or aaahh’ feeling in Nigeria as you would expect. The more weddings I attend, the more I realise that it’s nothing to do with budget but more to do with good taste and attention to detail.. I would rather be at a small classy wedding than a huge wedding that lacks quality.

From the wedding invites to the reception ceremony,the wedding colours to the choice of entertainment and menu, the wedding should tell a consistent story with everything in sync..That's all it takes to create a 'Wow' Wedding..well almost! The sad thing is that not even the big spenders or celebrities get it right sometimes. More often than not they have a 'loud but not 'Wow' wedding..

However, one celebrity couple that certainly nailed down the idea of a 'Wow' wedding on their big day is Comedian Basketmouth (Bright Okpocha) and Elsie Uzoma.Their wedding remains one of the most beautiful and romantic weddings held in Nigeria. Shot by one of my favourite photographers, Jide Alakija Phoography, Bright Okpocha’s big day was classy in every way. Their choice of colours - fushia pink, black and grey worked perfectly and I love how the colour scheme was used through all aspects of the wedding day. Even the reception lighting was in line with the wedding colours. We certainly got a good share of ooooohs and aahhhhs looking through the wedding pictures and after comparing with other celebrity weddings..SeriouslyDoughnuts wedding style gong goes to Bright and Elsie Okpocha. We think their wedding was just ‘Oooohh! So Gorgeous’
